Mike
Since May 2021, Mike has been part of the VAEX The Livestock Traders team as a buyer and seller of piglets and pigs, mainly focusing on Balkan countries. With an agricultural background and a family business in pig farming, the trade runs in his blood. In addition to his work at VAEX, Mike is also active at Pigarné, where he shares responsibility for purchasing and sales. Mike also works on his own company, Meatmen, representing brands from Spain and Italy with meat and meat products for the Dutch and Belgian markets.

Dirk
As CEO of VAEX The Livestock Traders, Dirk represents the current generation within the family business. With more than 50 years of history, under his leadership VAEX has grown into an international player in the trade of piglets, pigs, and cattle. Besides providing strategic leadership, Dirk is always looking for ways to further strengthen the organization and stay ahead in a dynamic market. The VAEX motto is fittingly, 'Always further, always ahead.'

Roberto
This hardworking Italian knows a lot about pigs, but even more about the pig trade. He has been active in this world for several years. In 2016, Roberto first came into contact with VAEX. He was immediately enthusiastic about the professionalism of the team and was eager to work with the "good guys" at VAEX. To this day, he continues to do so with full commitment.

Mladen
Mladen graduated as a veterinarian and has more than 15 years of experience in the poultry and pig farming sectors. Since August 2024, he has been part of the VAEX sales team. Together with his partner Zoran, he is active in the Balkans. He supports clients with unloading piglets and provides expert advice on piglet health and nutrition.

Carmen
Carmen knows the Romanian pig sector inside and out. She has been active for VAEX in Romania for 17 years. From the office in Arad, Romania, they work with a team of four women, who together are responsible for the import and export of piglets. Team Romania has extensive market experience, knows almost all farmers and trading companies, and understands the language and culture of their clients.

Vyacheslav
In 2016, Vyacheslav first came into contact with VAEX and has been with us ever since. Vyacheslav started with the sales of equipment for the dairy industry and later expanded his activities to become a cattle supplier for dairy farms in cooperation with VAEX.

Zoran
Zoran has been active in pig farming in Serbia for seven years. During this time, he has grown into a serious producer in the Serbian pig sector. He owns several farms in the Novi-Sad region and is currently investing in a sow farm with 200 sows. Since 2024, he has also been active for VAEX in Serbia. His knowledge of the local pig sector and his entrepreneurship are a great fit for our VAEX team.

Cecilia
Team Romania has extensive market knowledge, strong relationships with farmers and trading companies, speaks the language, and knows the culture. Cecilia has been part of this team under Carmen's leadership since 2016. Over the past nine years, she has mainly focused on the sale of pigs and piglets, while maintaining close contact with farmers and slaughterhouses in Romania.

Ilona
Ilona has been a familiar face within the VAEX family for more than 16 years. She began her career at VAEX in the truck trade, where her knowledge of the Russian language proved very useful. She soon found her passion in the cattle sector, where, with expertise and dedication, she has successfully arranged the transport of countless cows.
