My workday starts every day at 5 in the morning. Why does my workday start so early? In addition to trading cattle in cooperation with VAEX, I also sell equipment for the dairy industry together with my business partner. For this, we work with suppliers from China. Because of the time difference between China and Belarus, it is necessary to start early.

I cover many kilometers every day. Sometimes I travel as much as 800 to 1000 kilometers in a single day. During these trips, I visit farmers and livestock complexes, among others. Given our large customer base, this happens regularly. Personal contact is an important aspect of my work, which is why these kilometers are necessary.

I often make trips to the Netherlands or Germany to select cattle with customers for a cattle delivery. Selecting online or on location is an important part of a cattle delivery to Belarus. Why? Because we are dealing with breeding animals, it is very important that the animals are approved by the buying party. In addition, it is mandatory in Belarus to select on location. There is always a state veterinarian present to approve the animals for quarantine.

Strict measures in the Belarusian market
What makes the Belarusian market particularly challenging are the strict measures regarding the import of animals. Importing animals requires a lot of analysis. Certain breeding values must be met, and almost every delivery involves a lot of documentation. Despite this, I will always do everything possible to comply with the regulations, so that we can deliver healthy and highly productive animals to our customers.

Problems with other suppliers forced us to look for a new supplier, and that's how I ended up at VAEX. Within VAEX, I mainly work with Ilona Mioulleri, with whom I coordinate all cattle deliveries. Together, we make sure all the documentation is in order for the delivery. We are also present to ensure smooth communication, given the language barrier. Thanks to the quality of our cooperation with VAEX and the reliable partnership, we now work exclusively with VAEX and will continue to do so.
